Blutnacht- Die Rache des Dämon - A True German Splatter Labour of Love .....

Blutnacht - Die Rache Des Dämon (Blood Night - Revenge of the Demon) - Jochen Stephan & Hermann Weller 1999

Blutnacht, is a proper labour of love of German Splatter Cinema made by 2 fans of the Genre an extremely talented 19y/o Jochen Stephan, what you need to know or probably should already know with German Splatter movies is that they are literally balls to the wall gore / horror and this is definitely a perfect example of this ...

It has your usual cliché but fitting story yeah it maybe overused but the way it is shown here is way out there on the budget it was given it was made perfectly fans of Demons/Night of the Demons will love this movie but remember it is German Splatter and the genre alone is for elitist fans but its full of gore, and yes it maybe on a low budget but you can tell Jochen put everything into it ....

There isn't anything really spared within the movie, the music is perfect with the entrance music to "WWF Character The Undertaker" through out clearly shows the satanic theme throughout with the resurrection of (the demon) this is clearly up there with the greats like Violent Shit , Premutos & Black Past, and clearly Jochen & Hermann are Super fans of the genre because this is definitely a lover of the fans of German Splatter and Underground Indie Horror the only downfall well it isn't really of the movie is that the picture quality. With a lot of the movie set at night it sometimes can be a struggle but this doesn't alleviate you from watching it like a true Splatter fan would, it is indeed a labour of love from them both and should deserve the status it has got in the scene.

At the end of the day your going to love this movie if you love German Splatter horror its simple, all you got to realise is that it was a first movie from Jochen & Hermann (although he told me himself you NEED to see the second in the series) so its cheap yeah, the quality isn't perfect and yes there maybe some sketchy scenes but at the end of the day, most of the German Underground Splatter movies are a LOT worse and have bigger budgets, Schnaas, Bethmann & Ittenbach had to start from somewhere as well..

Overall see the movie, a lot of blood sweat and tears where put into it so give it a once over ....
